The mat

OpeningX₁, ftY₁, ftX₂, ftY₂, ft
ZoneX₁, ftY₁, ftX₂, ftY₂, fth, in

A zone keeps its step from the mat while the thickness is searched.

The ground

Rows: depth ft, N, s or c
Soil report: Cc, e0 and preconsolidation (optional)
From, ftTo, ftCcCre0pc, ksf

Over the depths given they replace the correlation for the clay's consolidation. Cr defaults to Cc/6; without pc the clay is taken as normally consolidated.

Correlations from N

Design

Analysis

Element size 0: about 3/4 of the thickness. The springs' combination should be a sustained one (D + L), as the long term's consolidation is worked out under it.

Notes

  • The mat is analysed in the page: the plate on the ground, and every combination on the springs that gives.

Results are for preliminary sizing and educational use. They are not a design and must be reviewed, verified and sealed by a licensed or registered engineer before being used in construction.
