Reads every column's required steel from ETABS — live or from the Concrete Column Design Summary — groups the stories as you draw them on a long section, picks the bars and the IMRF or SMRF ties for rectangular, L and T columns, and draws the reinforcement schedule, ready to export to DXF or print as a rebar table.
Open the model, run Design ▸ Concrete Frame Design ▸ Start Design/Check, then run EtabsWebBridge.exe (Get EtabsWebBridge) and click Start Bridge. Every column comes in at every story with its section and the steel ETABS asks for, and the stories with their heights.
Loaded: Example: eight stories, seven columns
The code's limits still apply — the smaller governs, and the calculation names which. IMRF: 8 db, 24 dtie, half the least side and 12 in within ℓo; 16 db, 48 dtie, the least side and d/2 between.
Below plinth the cage runs on as laid above; the column is drawn the extra cover bigger all round — 2 in each way at 2.5 in over 1.5 in.
Everything you have entered is in the address bar, so the link reproduces this exact calculation.
Click + at a level to start a new group there, − to join the two groups it divides. Name a group as the drawing should head it (e.g. BELOW PL, GROUND FLOOR); left blank it takes its levels. Bars typed for a cell stay with their stories when you regroup.
6 types from 7 columns; click a cell to open it. The DXF draws every section at full size (inches): each tie one polyline with its hooks, larger bars filled, smaller as rings.
Each column at its place in FDN TO GF, turned as in ETABS and marked as the schedule marks it (C1, C2… from the top row, left to right, then down); click one to open it. The DXF is in global coordinates, inches.
Keep a version when you issue the schedule (Rev 0), then again after the model changes: this card shows which columns' bars, ties or sections changed, story by story. Versions stay in this browser; download one as a file to keep it elsewhere or send it.
